Requiem

Back in the 90s, when “the boy” was at NYU, he and his room mate moved and could not keep a pet.  The cat’s name was Cleo and, naturally, “the boy” foisted the creature off on his parents.  Cleo joined Keeker and Cody as the Klingon Kats.  Cleo Clytemnestra, as she came to be called, also outlived her fellow Klingons.  The humans were unsure of her age when we got her but figure she was near 20 this year.
She acquired various nicknames like Zombie Cat and Dead Cat because of her age and increasing frailty.  But she never lost her vocal strength—-the feeble cat could SCREAM, especially if she felt it was feeding time (which was all the time as she neared the end.)  Over the past several months she lost weight, suffered some hearing loss, and, over the last couple of days, vision failure.  On Saturday April 25, 2015, sometime in the night time hours, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge to be reunited with her original crew of Klingon Kats.  Requiescat in pace, Cleo Clytemnestra.
